The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Enrolled Nurses (Graduate) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will have access to the following transition support processes –

  • Additional orientation and induction days
  • Preceptor support in line with individual clinical, professional and organisation learning needs, and context
  • of practice
  • Supervised and guided clinical learning
  • Identified study days (workshops)

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • Diploma of Nursing (completed from January 2022)
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Not to have been previously employed as an Enrolled Nurse for more than 480 hrs
  • The ability to work continuous shift work across a 24 hr, 7 day/week roster
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed

Salary

  • Temporary part time (several positions, 6 months, 48 hrs p.f.)
  • Base salary ranging from $33.53 – $35.59 per hour

Newly Qualified Enrolled Nurses are allocated to a range of inpatient and outpatient Units across Gold Coast Health campuses. Our transition support is designed to develop you into a safe, competent and confident clinician who can work collaboratively in a team.
