Total HRM has partnered with Strathbogie Shire Council to find a capable Finance Officer to assist with a wide range of accounting functions. Strathbogie Shire Council is offering an excellent remuneration package and sought-after learning and development opportunities for your career progression.

In your new role, you will:
- Work within the Finance Team to perform a wide range of accounting tasks including reconciliations, reporting, and accounts processing
- Provide support for audits and compliance activities
- Review systems, procedures and service quality, and provide input for process improvements
- Meet reporting deadlines by completing tasks within processing cycles, and supporting the Revenue and Accounts Payable functions
What sets you apart:
- Relevant experience in financial management
- Excellent computer skills, with experience using MAGIQ software highly regarded
- Accurate written communication skills, numeracy skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Time management and organisation skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business aren’t essential but would be considered advantageous

When: This role is initially being offered on a full-time basis for a 12-month contract. We are ready for you to commence immediately but willing to negotiate for the right candidate
Remuneration: $78,902, plus Super, plus other great benefits
Flexibility: We value flexibility including for your start and finish times, and where you work from. Our primary office location is in Euroa, Victoria.
