The Role

The FP&A Analyst is a critical role within the Finance department reporting directly to the FP&A Manager whilst closely working with the CFO. This role is responsible for the financial shaping of the P&L through development / periodic review of full year Sales and EBITDA and the management of Overheads. Furthermore, you will help provide insightful analysis into key trends that will drive better decision-making.

The ability to work cross functionally will be key in this role, helping teams navigate financial planning processes to ensure that as a business we have the relevant reports / analysis to improve financial performance.

In this sweet role you will be responsible for:

  • Own and execute the weekly and monthly revenue reporting process.
  • Prepare & Review the Monthly and Quarterly Business Review packs for ELT including Monthly P&L variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support with the development of tools & models to identify key trends and support decision making.
  • Provide management with their respective monthly departmental overhead reports including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Be involved with the preparation and review of the Annual Operating Plan
  • Assist with the monitoring & development of monthly procedures to meet relevant financial controls and SOX compliance requirement.
  • Completion of Quarterly and Annual ABS Surveys.
  • Manage the payroll accounting process including Month End Journals, B/S Reconciliation and assisting with any queries.
  • Deliver adhoc analysis and reporting as per business requirement.

What you can bring to the team

  • Strong computer skills. Working knowledge of accounting/reporting packages like Sage, SAP or Oracle would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • 1-2 years of financial/accounting experience
