About the Role
Our Technology Team is currently looking for an IT Support / Helpdesk Officer to work 3 days per week to assist in providing first level contact to staff and troubleshooting IT issues. The IT Support Officer is responsible for troubleshooting Level 1 technical issues including software faults, hardware faults, user administration and software testing. On a daily basis, you will be taking calls and responding to email/chat queries, investigating and troubleshooting.
This opportunity calls for someone with strong communication, problem solving, technical and analytical skills. The IT Support / Help desk Officer has the following responsibilities:
Be the point of contact for all incoming incidents over the phone, email, chat, or face to face.
Diagnosing hardware / software faults.
Establish accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
Support the implementation of new solutions or applications.
Test, evaluate, and facilitate with making decisions about new technology for the business.
Manage & control IT stock.
Recommending procedure improvements
About You:
Minimum 1 years proven experience in Helpdesk IT support
Suitable IT qualification (or currently in 3rd year of university)
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Experience working within a Windows Azure environment
Experience with Active Directory and Exchange
Ability to work autonomously, multitask and prioritise workload
Ability to deal with external support vendors and providers in order to support the business needs
Provide effective technical support for desktop computers, Telco & VoIP Services
Genuine passion for helping others and customer service orientated
IT vendor support management experience (desirable)
Previous experience in a call centre support environment (desirable)
Eager to learn & develop
Solid Understanding of Microsoft 365 capabilities
General IT awareness and ability to recognise problems and solutions independently
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Can travel to the Liverpool office to hand over equipment to new staff
