Military Employment Opportunities - AUS
AWS Australia Pty Ltd
Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world.
We are looking for veterans and their families who are actively looking to transition out of the ADF or who have recently discharged.
At Amazon, thousands of veterans and their families are driving innovation and raising the bar on the customer experience. Each day, they apply their knowledge, skills, flexibility and leadership abilities in a wide variety of careers around the world on behalf of our customers.
Amazon is just like the military. It has roles from maintenance technicians, pilots, communications specialists, logisticians, managers/leaders at all levels, construction engineers, business intelligence/analysts, training and development and administrators; just to name a few.
Amazon will most likely have a job that matches your skills and experience.
Key job responsibilities
We’re working to be Earth’s most military friendly company. To get there, we need talented and motivated people. We’re seeking expressions of interest from military veterans and their families in Australia, across a variety of roles across several of our Amazon businesses ranging from Amazon Stores (online & fulfilment), AWS (Amazon Web Services), Audible, Amazon Logistics & Amazon Prime. Amazon is one of the most recognisable brand names in the world and we distribute millions of products each year to our amazing customers.
A day in the life
We are excited to offer military veterans and their families the opportunity to launch into careers with limitless possibilities. We know that transitioning out of military life can be a stressful and sometimes a daunting task.
Studies show that veterans leave their first post-transition jobs at higher rates than their civilian counterparts. As such, searching for that post-transition role is as much about finding a company where you can picture yourself being successful, as it is about finding the right role. As we get to know you more, we invite you to get to know us better.
Amazon’s leadership principles nest nicely into the ADF values where fast, efficient decision making leads to a results driven approach.
