The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan (ROM) division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure. The Networks and Assets Branch looks after the assets that connect our communities and their purpose is to make regional and out metropolitan NSW a better place to live, work and visit.
The Opportunity
We have a 1-year fixed term opportuniy for a Program Delivery Officerbased in Wollongong, Bega or Goulburn to be a part of an innovative team that delivers for our regional customers and communities. The role will report to Manager Program Delivery within South Region. The Program Delivery Officer assists in the development and delivery of nominated Road Safety and Traffic Management programs and projects in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope requirements. The role will also require travelling to different offices/sites within South region on need-to basis.
Some of the key accountabilities will include:
Interface between delivery agents and other client agents to ensure engagement and delivery of agreed Traffic and Road Safety programs and projects.
Ensure that the nominated infrastructure programs and associated projects are developed and delivered to the required time, cost, scope and quality outcomes.
Ensuring project status reporting, forecasting and milestones are kept maintained
Promote accountabilities for each nominated program and associated projects in terms of best practice in project management, WHS, community engagement and environment assessment and are in accordance with TfNSW policies and guidelines.
Coordinate the development and delivery of nominated minor infrastructure programs and associated projects to ensure the scope and project outcomes provide value for money and fulfil the agreed road safety and traffic outcomes.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering or relevant professional experience
Demonstrated ability to manage the development and delivery of several related projects including the implementation of management strategies for community involvement, WH&S, environment and quality.
Communication skills, including the ability to influence people at all levels and maintain collaborative working relationships both within and outside the organisation.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience in resolving problems and ensuring projects deliver the required outcomes.
Business Writing Skills and experience in the use and application of computerised techniques for project and information management with the ability to produce project status reports, excel & SAP highly regarded
Experience in Road Safety, Project Management, Traffic and/ or Civil Engineering projects will be highly regarded

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is USS Grade 8 ($106,817-$114,624) plus superannuation and annual leave loading. This exciting role offers excellent conditions including flexible working arrangements as well as fantastic work-life balance.
