The Resource Recovery and Waste Services team is responsible for managing the collection, processing and disposal of waste, commingled dry recyclables, garden organics and bulky waste from households across the Campbelltown LGA.
About the role:
We are currently seeking two Resource Recovery Engagement Officers. In this role you will be responsible for inspecting kerbside recycling and garden organics bins to identify contamination, data collection and analysis in relation to contamination of kerbside bins and engaging with the community to improve resource recovery rates across the LGA.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers and resolving problems and conflict.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Computer literacy, report writing skills and strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an effective team
- Understanding of bin types, waste and recycling streams, kerbside collection service arrangements, and processing and disposal systems.
- A working knowledge of the causes and problems created by contamination in recycling and organics streams.
- Current NSW Class C drivers licence (or motorbike licence).
- COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Contradictation upon commencement.
